Just picked this little ratty 24" bike,
Wanted something simple as a daily rider while my other bikes are in project status

Love the color scheme and graphics
Any idea what it is and maybe the year,
I would estimate 1940s?
I know the only thing OG is the frame n fork

Thanks

These things are tricky to date, I'm still learning.
Pics are hard to see zoomed in on my phone, but.
I don't see tabs on the dropouts for a drop stand, but it looks like there's a place for axle adjustment screws.
I'm assuming the seat post is bigger than 5/8"?
And the down tube is curved.

Given those things I'd guess it might be early post war, but I could be wrong.

Any chance the head tube was stained in the shape of a head badge? That might help.

Anyway, it's a cool ride. I have an idea for a 24" frame like this, but it's a couple years in the future.

I can't think of an oval badge besides schwinn. This might be a fun one.

Is the serial number readable?

Searched Hawthorne badges, some of them were oval. Didn't think about my build off bike, it's kinda oval.
The h in the serial made me think of that.

So it might be a mid 40's wards hawthorne badged CWC.

Concur, that's a Huffman serial number and a Huffman chain ring, but maybe from a later bike, because you said only the frame and forks are original. The 7Hxxxxx could also mean 1957 which would be right for that chain ring, but the forks look earlier than that, so 1947 is it.
