ok i have some nice schwinn 24 inch mtb rims i wanna put a freewheel on ..can i use the same hub once i get the gears of that rim or will i need 2 change the hub? next i seen in here u guys using amtrack and greyhound 2 ship stuff ....can any1 tell me how that works and how safe it is ....thnx alot

Do you know if the hub has a multi-speed freewheel, or if its a cassette hub? A single speed freewheel will fit the hub of a mtb that had a multi-speed freewheel if that's what your asking. If you have a cassette hub you can get a kit which consists of a cog and a number of spacers to convert it to a single sprocket. With the single speed freewheel installed your chain-line may be off, in which case you'll want to adjust the spacers on the axle and then dish the rim to be centered in the frame again. If its a cassette hub with a single speed kit the wheel and axle wont need to be adjusted since you can move the sprocket to adjust the chain-line.

I have shipped and received items shipped with Greyhound. It is easy and cheaper than the usual methods. You pack your item and take it to the bus station. Fill out the paperwork and they put it on the next bus (or series of buses) to it's destination. The person receiving it will have to go to their local bus station to pick it up. Check Greyhound's web site for more details and pricing.

How's about this, 26" frame with 24" fat tires to cushion my ole bones, hehehehe.....
