I am Cruise Night Chairman for my Local Main Street program and am in charge of organizing cruise nights. We are currently looking at themes for next year. We are going to do the typical Ford Night, Chevy Night, Mopar night etc. Anyway about the last week in July we do our annual Bike Night (Motorcycles) but am seriously thinking of including bicycles as well. Before I make the commitment would anyone be interested in attending? Momence is located about 45/50 minutes South of Chicago and 12 miles East of Kankakee. 10 minutes off of Interstate 57.

That could be fun I went on a few Denver Cruisers rides in Denver they were a blast You could have the show then a bar cruse after official or not.I would try to make it. I'm in Geneva Il.

You gonna do bikes and motorcycles together? In our neck of the mitten, it just wouldn't be possible. As a whole the motored guys have very little to no use for bicycles. Plus the fact that it would end up as two very seperated rides. Motorcycles wouldn't hold their speeds or distances to what most bikes are capable of.
We fit in better with the car guys. Some actually bring their bikes to join in with us. The Rat Rod boys and girls love our style of bikes and more and more seem to be showing up at our rides and shows.

As far as the local bars go. Many don't wanna allow space to park "a bunch of bicycles". And then you gotta have someone stay with them otherwise the bikes get ridden off by some drunk idiot or ran into on purpose. Our area sucks when it comes to this type of a ride.

Definitely let us know how things work out, maybe I'm missing some sorta secret. :roll:
