Brian here, aka Bif Semi retired, I work at a LBS- a bucket list job for me. Up here in the frozen north the shop is pretty dead from Nov thru Feb at least, so I have time to maintain my stable of vintage three speeds and maybe frankenbike somethng too. To date I've converted a burned out ebike to 7 speed human powered, customized a Raleigh 29er singletrack and Bianchi Pista to commuters. and built a 70's folding frame into something that's fun to ride and makes me laugh.

Lately I've been researching shaft drive bikes. looking to build a modern version of a 1900's Pierce or Columbia or similar- coaster brake single speed, no cables no derailleurs. I came across a thread here that prompted me to join and ask some questions. I also bought a delivery bike frame that's sloppily welded, been working on cleaning up the welds and planning to put a three speed drive train in that. Slow go.

Appreciate the group- seems like a lot of talent here.
