Hi there.. I am located in Ohio where I save bikes from landfills, and put them back on the road for free to those in need.
I get bikes from scrappers, I offer to pay more than the yards will pay.. works every time :) and have slowly assembled a small scrap-yard of parts to nearly self sustain this project, periodically my wife makes me "clean house" but she is great in dealing with losing her entire basement hahaha..

higher end bikes and parts usually get sold to make cash to get the donated bikes road-worthy.. unless I really like the bike.. then it gets added to my hoarding collection lol
 
kinda a adiction ,great yer saving bikes from the scrap pile and givin them new life !
