Hi Way Patrol

I picked this up in Ann Arbor a couple weeks ago. Hope these pictures work, haven't posted anything since the change. I dated it to 1958 from the columbia site. Looks like it had a tank at one point, and would love to find one for anyone who has one laying around. Haven't done anything to it yet (except put that ratty brooks on it) but can't wait to tear it apart.

So I want to post a wanted ad for the tank but I'm unsure of exactly what to ask for? Would a five star fit this frame or should I specify that it's a hi way patrol? Also, I would like to find a nicer set of rims that would have came with the bike or era correct...any ideas?

Go to www.vintagecolumbiabikes.com for a all Columbia info. Email him at if you can't find what you're looking for. Some models came with a rack and tank, some didnt. Depends what your plans for the bike are. If the wheels are original and solid, leave it. I just got one myself. Cool ride.
