Not sure of the year but I'm assuming it's around the 50's. Anyway, this bike was a barn find that was found in north Texas. When I got it, it was completely rusted over but thankfully it wasn't deep into the steel.
Plans:
Taking the entire bike down to bare metal
Polishing frame/fork
Adding poplar wood insert in frame
Painting fenders light blue with gold/silver leaf pinstripe and navy blue on the inside of fenders.
Rims painted navy blue with polished nipples, spokes and hubs.
Getting the saddle wrapped in new brown leather.

*Using all original parts*

It should be ready soon! Thanks for looking.

My attempt at saving the original saddle. Not quite finished with it, still need to polish out springs and bracket. The foam is actually a 10" bonnet for a buffer I never use and the material used is a faux leather I picked up at Walmart. Here are a few pics of my progress.

That buffer pad is freakin sweet! I think you'd be doing yourself a favor to cut another piece of upcycled *something* into the shape of the pan and slide it in under the pad\batting. Great idea! I love love upcycled bits on bikes. soup can anyone?

Updated pics. Painted the frame grey leaving top tubes exposed. Also painted the chain guard to match fenders.
