I can see you dont do this muchYou have better chance of keeping it square if you use a deep well socket just smaller than the ID of the steerer. That includes the park tool.

An easy way to do that is to attach plastic zip ties to use as guides.I'm yet to build a truing stand... I've been thinking of using some old bike frame for it as its the easiest.

I got it Amazon. Two weeks ago it was only $9.99. Lot's of sellers have it so look around the site. It isn't an actual clamping work stand but it will serve my purpose. The U-Bolts came from ACE hardware locally. They are 2" inside to inside probably 3" depth. I had to drill out the 1/4" holes in the stand to 5/16."I looked around and couldn't find the wall mount stand. Any hints?
