Being a native Austinite, I have always bleed burnt orange. It doesn't matter if the Longhorns are winning or losing I will always be a fan. That being said...

I have been staring at my Coppertone Deluxe Racer and wishing it would magically look minty fresh like Rat Rod's. The paint is chipped, decals faded, seats all splotchy.

After watching Texas beat Nebraska, I found my inspiration.

A little white paint and some black stripes to break it up.

My copper plated crank and sprocket from my RRBBO5 bike matches nicely. Add in a new pair of gumwalls to wrap around the S-5s.

A good looking seat from an unknown origin came off the shelf.

Ditched the SA 3 speed in favor of my newest kickback. Painted the spokes white while I had the wheels apart.

Just have to finish cleaning up the front wheel and painting the spokes and then I will be riding. Then all I will need to get are some Longhorns decals to call it complete.

Found my decal place today! Gonna take the bike down there Thursday for some color matching and because the guy digs old bikes.

My decal guy called yesterday to let me know that they were done so I headed up to Wichita to pick them up. They turned out just as good as I had hoped.

Decals look great. I've seen the business where you had them done but never really knew what they did.

Thanks Randy. I was very happy with their quality, service, and price. They do screen printing od shirts, hats, and such. As well as banners, vinyl cut and printing. They have a book with 100+ different colors of the vinyl and they found a near perfect match for my coppertone. They had to sepcial order it in but I was out the door for less than $20. I am going to approach them about making me some full color mylar Schwinn Quality decals. We'll see how those turn out.

That's a pretty ride Cam...I'd love to find something like that to work on. Ever since I joined this site, my head is on a swivel while I'm out and about. You make some very cool stuff.
