Was my late Aunt Betty's bike. in the 1960s her and my uncle use to tent camp on vacation to escape the Summer heat of Milwaukee. My late brother was in process to rebuild when he died. For unknown reason bike has 2 identical front wheels (no drive hub).

The seat doesn’t look like it would be that comfortable either! ;) :)

Well my wife seems intrigued by it so prob gonna have to make it operational. Maybe it's a "thing" with German bikes, but whats up with the cheesy stickers all over it?

I've built about a dozen bikes with the spanner nut headsets, three in the past few months. I finally bought a Hozan C-205 lockring wench.
How much is a good wench going for these days (tee hee)?
This is great info actually, as I have a couple of lockrings and was wondering what the "real" tool for them was. tough to get these set up without the right tool!
Thanx!

If you wanted to part with that fork, keep me in mind good sir ;)

Not my normal cup of Joe, this caught my eye on FB marketplace. Panasonic sport LX. About an hour away and missing seat and post. Seller wanted $20 and I did not quibble. I had to do something, Wife has upped her game with new tires on her Raleigh Grand Prix, and I have to keep up.

10 speed. Never saw a dork disk that wasn't toasted by the sun, must of been kept inside. Look at that chain and sprockets, Was this thing ever ridden?

With no saddle, how could it have been riden? I would never ride a bike "bareback!"

I think that's probably the answer. Had its seat stolen in the first year and sat in the garage/basement ever since.

I think the serial number location puts it after '85. I would have guessed '88, but I can't find any '88s with that graphics package.

Good find, regardless.
Found an '89 with a similar graphics package, but it is a 12spd. I think that probably makes yours an '88. Sport LX looks to have been made from '79 to '89.
Good eye, RG. :41: I found a date on the rear hub "H88", which I believe is Aug. 1988. For the rear hub anyways.

Verrt, we will never know the true story, but I do like yours... :D

Put a seatpost and seat from the stash on it today, shifts, brakes, and tires hold air.
I'm impressed by the quality, but I read somewhere Panasonic shipped bikes with extra long stems so riders could raise the bars up but this bike has a pretty short stem. In the pic its actually at least an inch above the insertion line. It's also a 21" frame and the seat is set comfortable for me. Bars and stem are gonna have to change tho.

Found a couple of interesting bikes yesterday. Within a couple hours drive. Wife and I made an adventure of it - we don't get out much as covid is serious in Wisconsin now. Both sellers were friendly, everyone took precautions, and it was awesome to have short friendly conversations with the previous owners!

Bike one is a 1995 Schwinn Cruiser 6. Can't find much info but believe it is a "Boulder Schwinn". Made in China, but sounds like the Boulder Schwinns were considered pretty good quality.

Bike number two is a Specialized Crossroads 24 speed. Gigantic 21" aluminum frame, nice Shimano Deore components.

The Specialized looks good all around and well treated, 32h hubs.

Put that stem from the Schwinn in the just for looks bin. I bent one pulling on it.
