How dangerous are these??

I've got the chance to pick up one of these cheap, but wanted some info/input on them. Are they worthwhile? Junk? Fun?

I had one a few years back, they are not too horrible as far as learning how to ride it and they are fairly easy to ride but the novelty wears off fast. If it's cheap go for it.

i remember this or something very close to it came out in the mid 80s.
i do remember thinking at the time that this was stupid
it was advertized in skateboard magazines.
if ya wanna bike,ride a bike. if ya wanna skate, skate.

After that photo I'm thinking dangerous as wiping with a razor blade!
No fun! They don't go fast, don't turn well, and are made of low quality materials, only if it's cheap, like 5$ cheap!
