How do I remove house paint, but not the factory paint under

I just picked up a prewar Schwinn covered in a hideous green house paint. I can some original blue in some places. How do I get the green off without killing the blue?

Yep, but just don't leave it on for too long, it WILL fade and start lifting the original paint

wow.. i have been thinking how to do this to a bike my wife pulled out a garden and it had the same color green paint lowpowerD fresh finds has.. :lol: go figure ..I'm getting some easy of tonight ... so it spray and wife off like a oven ?

Keep a close eye on it when it starts to lift the old unwanted paint.Then spray it with water.

A tooth/scrub brush will help speed it along.
