How do you clean spray paint off a headbadge & save og paint

I want to clean the spray paint off my murray headbage, it looks like brass, and I want to save the original paint on it as it appears to be in good shape. Any suggestions?

never tried this but heres what some are using and it looks like it works good(not sure about a badge though).....

it takes some work but will take off the paint but watch close with pin striping. here is some examples of what it has taken off and revealed.

Wow.. what did u use to wipe off the paint to get to the original paint?

he(military monark) used that(picture at the top) to get spray paint off down to the original paint
