How I Re-padded My BMX Seat

I got this schweet Schwinn Phantom Scrambler F.O.R.D....

And so I ride it to work the other day...And the seat feels like I'm sittin' on the bare pan!! :cry: So I do a little investigation:

Check out this "luxury" seat pad!

Now THAT'S "paper thin"! But to be fair it is 27 years old! So here's how I saves my 'hinder:

I used one of those camping sleeping bag pads (I already had it in the garage for working on the car...) And cut off what I needed:

Then I traced the pattern from the old pad and cut 'er out:

I found that the seat pan was bent, and a small crack:

Finally, stuff the new pad in and put 'er on!
