What's with all the tall freaks? I'm short so my seats are low.

The 20" 72 Riviera I just made the front of the seat at an angle that looked good with the back stuck at the sissy bars stern will.

My 26" 84 Schwinn Cruiser 5 I put as low as possible without mods. But then I also put longer cranks on it so my stroke is all messed up. 95% when straight down but knee at seat level when up.

As a general rule I run my seats as i would on a mountain bike, with a slightly bent knee at the bottom of a pedal stroke. But ultimately it depends where you're riding and how far you're riding at a time.

Ive found the seat height I like to run is often above the headstem which looks ridiculous with regular bars, but looks fine with ape hanger bars

I ride em low, not as low as they go but low...and we ride 15-20+ miles at a stretch. My knees will throb if I get lazy and just sit and grind so every now and then, I stand up and pedal for a while...plus the prewar bikes have pretty short seatposts and if you put them up in the air, they bend...
