How to size your avatar

I am not the best with computers and I have never been able to figure out how to size a pic down so that it will show up as an avatar, Thanks for any help

the most basic way is to open the image in Paint .... go to the Image tab .... go to Stretch/Skew .... adjust the percentage until the picture is small enough to meet the maximum avatar size. you can check the size by going to the Attributes tab instead of the Stretch/Skew tab but dont make any changes in Attributes ... it will crop the bottom and right sides off instead of shrinking the whole pic.

UH...There's ONE more thing you can learn!.............Make that avatar of your dog, wearing a J-strap, even smaller.(the AVATAR, not the J-strap) :lol:
