Very cool videos....I have been wondering how you remove a freewheel.

How do you know which socket you need for this?

P.S. That adjustable wrench is HUGE!

Steve, most freewheels now use this socket. It's a generic Shimano model. Any other freewheel is too old and most of the time I don't bother. I don't want to shell $30 for a socket I will only use once or twice in a lifetime. The wrench is called "King Kong". My Dad bought it when he was working on the Olympic pool here in Montreal back in 1976. He used it once and carried that heavy thing in his toolbox for another 20 years. He asked me if I could use it when he retired as a plumber and getting rid of some tools. I told him it would see more action in the first week than it did for the last 20 years! Trust me, this thing is very handy Brewdude, the music selection is from my son. btw, very weird avatar. It's sick, yet I love it :?
