I just got in to customising bikes with in the last few months. I'm located in California in the central valley in the small town of turlock. Ive always been in to rat rods and kustoms and decided to port that look over to a bike for a cheaper way around town, Just found this forum and am pretty excited to see that there are plenty of other people out there in to rat rod bikes. Ive been lurking for a few days now in the how to's getting a lot of my questions answered. so thanks a lot fellas.
and so this intros not so boring here's a couple of the bikes ive been messing with so far.
I cut and raked the neck to lower it with out using a bent springer, picked up a flea market sissy bar and lowrider banana seat and slapped it all together with some wide whites. figured what better paint for my first rat than the classic flat black red rim combo.
This is my lady bobber bike, big apes on a 77 Schwinn town and country frame with some 24" white walls and 72 spokes up front. Wired up the tail light to a hidden battery under the seat.
so thats a little of what ive been doing lately. Ive got tons of ideas in my head of what i want to do next just got a few questions that i cant find the answer to, So i guess sometime tomorrow Ill have to see if any of ya can educate me on getting my shimano 333 all set up on my new frame, Ill post up some pic so you can see what im working with.
