also thinking about the colors...any ideas on this hell of a ride

red oxide primer and cream painted in classic B6 or Phantom style to look like a faded out red and white cruiser. Kinda like the Electra Deluxe Relic, but with 24" black rims (I'm a sucker for black rims) running 24x3 Whitewall Fatti-Os or Thick Bricks, lastly add a dark brown leather Brooks B67 (either new or find a used one) with matching grips.

Call it 'Faded Glory'.

Oh wait, I thought you asked how I would paint it after you painstakingly packaged it up and shipped it to me. :roll: :mrgreen:

what color you choose, enjoy the build and then the ride!

well got my rear rack in today,,,used 2 coats of airplain stripper,,,not much luck...stripping,,,going to blast it friday....
here is a pic or 2...i also have to level it out a bit.

Ohh my! Based on your previous resto, this one is gonna be off the hook.
If I were doing this job, I would do some research on some fifties color combos.
Something unseen or not very "traditional" in the hobby.

Either way, I´m sure is gonna be awesome, keep us posted!!!

well got it blasted today and got it coated with primer....

so this is what im thinking,
painting the whole bike white with black accents...think that will look smooth..Im going to make my own stencils and i just got a
air brushing kit,,

got a few parts in today,,,,
the tank has a long scratch that looks like it came from a exacto blade :shock:
kinda mad at that one...

don't know if you can see the scratch but it is there

also,I dont know if i like that chain guard,,memory lane has repop phantom one for i think $35
just got off the phone with memory lane and I am going to have to ship my new tank back and get one with the scratch in it....to bad,,,,I has going to shoot it with primer tonight,,

i would get the repop gaurd, those new ones look extra cheesy IMO.
