I D this hub please

i think its a cable operated (or "manual") 2 speed bendix, the cog will rotate with the hub and faster than the hub (undergear) axle is hollow on cog side only.

if so anyone know what years they were used?

Its a Bendix 2 speed manual shift, you can press on the screw in the axel with a screw driver and it will shift gears. You can also buy the piece that screws onto the hub and uses a small rod and cable to change gears at most bike shops. The Indian has the same hub.
