So Saturday evening, my wife and I went up to see MonsterMetal(Larry the Blacksmith) so I could pick up one of his Worksman bikes. And i have to say, this is one of the most stout easy riding bikes I have. I love it. And it's always a pleasure to go see Larry at his shop. I bought this bike and a Schwinn Hollywood project for my wife, but before I left I also had another front basket and a crusty SpaceLiner fork in my car. I say this every time, but if you ever get the chance to check out Larry's shop or meet him, do it.

I highly suggest it. They are way cool. I figured it waould jsut be another bike, but it's not. Some reason it feels like riding a cadilac...

Worksman ,Schwinn and all the other people that produce an industrial bike have had a lot of time to refine their product. The specs must allways be the same because they havent made and visual changes in a long time. I think they concentrate on making them more rideable. On Schwinn having the stainless spokes, alloy wheels and a shimano rear hub makes for a bulletproof combination. The worksman wheels and monster spokes make them indestructable. I was a little unimpressed with their front hub . Never seen one that wasnt rusty. Its kinda the weak link in their design. That front basket makes them a little harder to ride . If you take it off you probably wont want to put it back on . they have two small baskets that go on the rear sides that are well balanced in my opinon if you feel the need to carry stuff.

Well, the first night i had mine I rode it grocery shopping, and while it did feel a little less stable, I didn't mind. My wife has a schwinn with metal baskets on the back, but I couldn't fit a gallon of milk in it... So mine will stay on the front for now. Between hers and mine, we could get all our shopping home.
