ORBO 26.0 X 27.5 Klunker

The quail ornament had a 5/16” tapped hole in the bottom. So a bolt was test added.

I found a couple of stems as a mount idea. The BMX stem is heavy, so steel.
7/8” bar mount so it would fit the extended handlebar tube.

Also have the State stem I started with, the bar clamp is 1” so I would need to add a shim. I would probably cut it down if I used it. Thinking either one would be good solution, but the black aluminum one being the best. A Recycled hood ornament ought to be fairly rat rod on a bicycle.

I had a similar one on my first summer RRBBO bike, Hammered Higgins. Neither one have ever had a drop in them.

If/when you make it to Vegas for an OBC, or just to hang out we can remedy this. lemme know.

Tinkering with the hood ornament quail stem mounting today. I started with the aluminum stem without cutting it up. I used 5/16” NC bolt, washers, nuts and a couple of 1/4” fender washers, drilled out the hole to fit the bolt.
