I need a little help

Okay, so I know I am buying one (or maybe both) of these bikes. They no longer have badges on them, but look to be prewar Schwinn dx's. What do you guys think? Are they?

bottom one looks DX but the top one has a straight bar so as far as I know is not a DX, looks like a Roadmaster the more I look at it. Also the springer is Roadmaster not Schwinn at all and something looks funny with the rear fender. maybe the frame is a Schwinn and someone added the fork and fenders from a different bike.

that's about all I know, probably a Schwinn expert will chime in and shed some more light on your bikes.

Top bike is definitely postwar mid to late 50's roadmaster. The drop outs appear to be forward facing.

plus the front forks are bent on the first bike.Notice how close the fender is to the downtube.

I think that DX is a '41, judging by the curve in the down tube. It also has the Wald nutcracker neck that Schwinn used in '41 on the DX's. Gary
