I just got a 2nd swingbike, but the rear left dropout area is very slightly bent, but it is enough to make the wheel not fit. How can I spread the rear dropouts? I read about putting a piece of wood over it and hammering, but is this really the best/ easiest way? Any advice is appreciated.

thanks in advance

There are tools made especially for bending rear droppouts. I have used an adjustable wrench to fix minor issues. If you have much worse then hard to tell with out pics. If it is just matter of spreading the frame slightly to fit the wheel, then go for it.
