i think i got an elgin for 15 bucks

not sure but i think its an elgin, anyone have any ideals. its missing the chainguard, fender light and headbadge, serial number under the bottom bracket is 718817. any ideal of year? also has axel screw adjusters on rear

just found this one a few hours ago in someones back yard as i was putting out a shed fire. im pickin up a skip tooth schwinn and an old columbia with locking springer forks tomorrow morning, i will post some pics when i get em.

The sprocket looks like a shelby but I can't tell if it is original to the bike.

my guess if you got something I want. Straight bar excelsior. What's the top of the rear triangle look like? Pull the crank and look for a date...

could this be a1936 Motorbike or Cycleplane, from the pics its almost identical.someone said in another forum it might be a schwinn model C

very likely model c. motorbike had a locking fork.

I want that frame to build a proper klunker.

I paid $250 for that frame a few years ago, granted it had original paint, but, yeah, that was just the frame. That's a Model C Schwinn frame, and fork, and truss rods....wow.

Try some Xymol on the paint and see what is under it.
