I traded for an old Schwinn

I traded my functional 24" girls 1950's Higgins (with modern wheels):

For a complete 24" Girl's Schwinn (serial # D71652)(non functional with tons of rust):

Once I clean, derust and paint the Schwinn, plus put a air of new tires on it, I hope it'll be a better value. :?

I know the rear rack isn't Schwinn, and the chainguard looks odd.

I'd say you're crazy for doing that. :shock: The chainguard is the correct 24" guard. The rack...I don't think so. Gary

After a few hours with the wire wheel, the frame clean up, and the original reddish paint started shining through. Polished most of the chrome and regreased everything. Added new tires, new grips, and a correct Schwinn seat. Now have this:

That's a nice improvement, With everything you have done it should ride pretty well.
