ICHI bike trip

Finally getting a chance to make it to Des moines Ia. for a weekend volleyball tourney. Of course my daughter will not be playing around the clock so in my spare time I thought I would jump over to Ichi bike shop. Anyone have any other cool spots in mind that I should check out in that area?

Man i wish my wife would let me bring a bike

I would love to cruise around a couple hours and check things out BUT it would be in my best interest not to bring that up.

For anyone that has not had the chance to visit downtown Des Moines, I strongly suggest you visit if you have a chance! I surely kick myself for not bringing a bike along for what turned out to be a beutiful day. The area appeared to be nothing short of perfect for cruising around taking in the city. I however was bound to my sneakers as I took a brief break from the volleyball madness that brought us to town.

I snapped a few pictures of the area as I headed out to visit Ichi Bike shop. I am sorry for the poor quality of the photos. I was using my phone. Below are just a few spots that I thought would be amazing cruising areas.

As for the shop..... It was like being a kid in Willy Wonkas factory! my eyes couldnt take enough in at once. Every inch of this shop was filled with pure coolness from floor to ceiling. I asked nicely if they minded me snapping a few pictures to share with you all here and they gladly granted me permission. Unfortunatly I did not get a chance to speak with Dan but the staff at the shop were very nice to talk with. Funny thing about my little trip was that I walked out of that shop empty handed. As I walked back to the arena I was fighting the urge to turn back around and buy SOMETHING... but what? I could have went broke filling my arms with parts. I suppose its ok that I didnt because I only live 2 hours away and I made a very detailed mental inventory of what he had just for future reference
