ID help. Maybe a 1958 JC Higgins?

A few years back, I got this bike. It appeared to be a Frankenbike that had been painted over a few times. My brother made the executive decision to strip it of all its paint. After finding the serial numbers and cross checking with the link for the cabe, I think it's a 1958 JC Higgins. The serial number has 3 lines. The top line reads: MOS-P. Below that MOD 502 265. And the bottom is 103557. I'm having trouble attaching pics but I think I've created a few working links to the pics via my Amazon and Google accounts. Thanks in advance!

MOS-P should be 1950, I believe.

Could have looked like one of these...

...though more likely, something like this...
