IMAGES IN SIGNATURES

Going to instate a new forum rule that prohibits using giant images in member's signatures. It can be very annoying to have to keep seeing the same image over and over again in a thread and it also takes up more real estate than necessary.

If you've got a large image in your signature, please remove it ASAP or the team will remove it for you.

By large I mean anything larger than a half inch tall.

No problem here, I cant even figure out the avatar picture thingy. Back in my day it was.."Dude I'm getting a Commodor" :lol:

I brought up this problem about a year ago for the very same reason, then put an 85 Meg mars lander image in my sig to make a point after some anti-comments and cman killed the thead. :?

Those here weren't that bad compared to some I've seen elsewhere, but I do agree. It makes the threads a lot easier for the eyes. What can I say, I'm getting older and grumpy I guess.

Sometimes it can also be confusing...thinking that the image pertains to the message being posted.

Mucho Appreciated ! I've been suffering from dial up internet for far too long, which is why my participation in the forum has been limited to typing replies for the last several months.
Having to load the same pics over and over again, tedious. I'm sure there are other members suffering a fate similar to mine, and they would appreciate a leaner site to load.
Nothing wrong with having a sig, just keep em small gents!

Chimichanga mentioned that to me on 1-16-09, in "the other talk", my post "TWO OF MY MANY PROJECTS". I went to remove it immediately, but couldn't figure out how... dumb huh? I didn't realize it was so large... I'll look into deleting it now, if I can't, please do so for me. I don't want to make any waves.

Maybe they didn't get the courtesy e-mail from steve like some did or maybe they just don't care. it seems some guys aren't good with measurements but that usually is thinking things are bigger then what they really are not smaller!
