I have purchased bikes from all over to be shipped to Greece.
1- Understand that customs will hit you if the bike is valued $$$$,so check that first.
2- Most bicycle boxes are to large for some shipping/postal companies,from USA to Greece,they can be shipped with Usps but in 2 boxes.Works out much cheaper. Eg: I have had a jc higgins shipped cost was $200 priority mail,but with a normal shipping company they wanted 450-700...
3- communicate with the seller and see what shipping methods they can come up with.Germany normally use Hermes or DHL.

I had been looking at the Hawk "Douglas" or the "Hudson" bicycles from Germany. But with the exchange rate & shipping it was to high for me! That also was to California.
