i started this build almost a year ago today. it spent alot of time sitting idol in the basement but its finally complete. (with the exception of the kick stand.)
the build has undergone a few different changes through out the year. i'd originally planned on painting it like an indian, but my fav anti-color (flat black) had alittle to say about it. :)

all in all i'm very very happy with the results, and i can't tell ya how much fun it is to ride.
i don't think theres a neighbour on my block that hasn't taken it for a spin. (i'm talking neighbours, thier kids, thier cousins, friends etc etc)
its but a huge smile on thier faces, but especially mine.
enjoy!(i know i will)

when i first visited the forum, i fell hard for your harley inspired motored bike.

i knew then i'd eventually end up building something along the same lines.

just took me a while, thats all. :)

Re: indian inspired motored bike. finally finished

Super build and I'm not a fan of motorized bikes. Very well executed.

Re: indian inspired motored bike. finally finished

Definitely one of the coolest motorized bikes I have seen to date.

What model and size of tire are those?

Re: indian inspired motored bike. finally finished-new pic's

should cover most of your questions. (if not, just ask)
the seat is an old pan seat cut a down and welded to the frame.

Re: indian inspired motored bike. finally finished-new pic's

great job! that's one the coolest looking motorizeds that i've seen. almost inspires me to get to work on that ridiculous Morini bike that i've stalled out on...

Re: indian inspired motored bike. finally finished-new pic's

i really like the stance on this bike it does look like a real boardtracker. the pully confused me at first i thought it was som sort of belt drive trans to go faster at first but now i see why u did it. amazing bike and yet another reason i really do need to build one of these. hey i do have that 36 silver king frame lol

Re: indian inspired motored bike. finally finished-new pic's

I sure would love one just like that.

I bet it's a lot of fun to ride. I could go thru 5 tanks of gas in one day.

Re: indian inspired motored bike. finally finished-new pic's

thanks man.
i have been wanting to do one up for so long. now i am just really inspired by this one.

is there an engine supplier you would recommend?
the brakes? are they drums in the hubs? am i blind?

Re: indian inspired motored bike. finally finished-new pic's

real men don't use brakes on a boardtracker! :)

actually the only brake is a coaster rear hub. i hid the brake arm behind the number plate.

the brake levers are clutch and throttle.
due to local laws, this bike will only ever see parking lots and tracks (where theres lots of room to slow down) so brakes are alittle redundant. :)

lucky me has a couple huge abandoned parking lots/buildings dirrectly across the street from my home. i'm sure most of the riding will happen there.

this is my first motored bike build, so this is the only engine i know. its cheap chinese junk, but it hasn't let me down. :)
i'm sorry though, i have no idea who made the motor.

i bought it locally (new in the box) from a guy that imports chinese pocket bikes.
there was no company info on any of the boxes or the instructions (which where broken english at best)
they probably don't put info on there so ya can't send it back. lol
what do you expect for a $100 engine kit.lol :) most should be considered a project engine, even if there new in the box.
that being said, there more than worth the $100.

my next build is gonna use a sachs moped engine. picked up the entire moped for $50
better quality, less $$$. might be worth searching for one yourself

Re: indian inspired motored bike. finally finished-new pic's

wow!! that thing is awesome. I gotta do one someday.
