I'd agree to $20 then go look at it, find something wrong with it, Nit pick it, say the paint is kinda scuffed up, no seat, any rust, if the pedal blocks are loose mention it. Then make the same counter offer of $10 if he says no say meet me in the middle at $15. He'll buckle under the pressure and you'll get it cheap.

I've done this too long. $20 isn't bad but I'm cheap like that.

You too huh? ^

ME TOO. (heh)

What they Want and what they Get are two different thing$.

Aint no shame in being broke.(been there myself)

You still got your PRIDE.

They CANT take THAT!

Yeah, I can care less about money as long as my bills are paid. I figure I'm known by what I do and the quality of my work. Our two bike shops in town are a bunch of snobs if you don't ride a $1500 bike. I work on all bikes and never judge anyone for what they ride. And I'd be willing to bet I do every bit as much business as they do.

When I sell stuff i usually put a low price on it, and if someone offers me half I just get annoyed . I'm not always that polite, though. If you offered me ten bucks for that bike, when I only asked for twenty, I'd probably tell you to get lost. :| Not necessarily in those exact words.
