I need a price check on a Schwinn Legacy. Seller said he bought it in 2009 at Target. Its pretty clean and looks good. Seller said he bought it to take his toddler riding, but never really got into it and only rode it a couple of times. It's the red/white model, has chrome fenders, chrome wheels, chrome handle bars and he said he will also throw in the baby/toddler seat. Like I said it's pretty clean and looks good. He wants $40 for it including the baby seat. I know I've heard some not so good things about these Walmart/Target Schwinn's. I want to throw some Apes and a banana seat/sissy bar on it. So I wanted to see if $40 is a good price for this one. Sorry I don't have pics of the actual bike ( I went to see it in person) but the pic below is the exact same thing only that it comes with a baby seat on it. Let me know if this is a good price, thanks...

Definately worth it, only negative I have heard on these is a weak coaster brake. I would do a repack on the rear hub with full synthetic axle grease and adjust, should be good to go after that.

Same as my Windwood, new with sales tax another 100 bux. Change the grease and check the bearing cages in the hub. Better than average modern dime store bike IMO.

Do a quick search and see if you can buy 2 26" whitewall tires and tubes shipped to you for $40. If you can, then ask the seller if they come with a bike.

No, you will not find tires alone shipped for that.

Nearly all bikes are made in China now and any newer bike will need as much maintenance as a classic.

If you like it, buy it.

I couldnt get my wallet out fast enough to snag that (if it was closer)

JUMP ON IT!
