Ratsters,
In my haste to get the Higgy in the BBO3, I skipped priming the frame. I sanded the frame pretty much down to bare metal, wiped it with alcohol, then sprayed with oil based enamel (several coats). The frame did have surface rust and some pitting, which smoothed out after the sanding..
I seem to remember reading that rust will continue its diabolical work underneath the paint unless it was dealt with properly (ie., rust neutralizer/etching primers).
Since I'll probably be buried with this bike some 30 (hopefully) years from now , I'd like to know if the frame will continue to deteriorate as is or am I worrying for nutin'
Thx
