I am looking at this spoke pattern for a 26" wheel and want to find out if I can use the normal spoke length to do it. Is this as simple as relocating the order they are in the rim? Please somebody tell me. I hope to get them done before my trip to the Can-Am. Thanks in advance.

there really is no "normal" spoke length...spoke length is determined by hub diameter, hub width, rim diameter & # of crosses...ANY pattern is possible (within reason)...you just need to determine the correct spoke length

I think what Budz is getting at is if he can take an existing normally laced wheel and relace it like this.
That I don't know.

It's the same spoke length as 3 cross. That pattern is called 3 leading 3 trailing, except that's a 72 spoke wheel.

Yes (sorry) - I mean to do the pattern with a normal wheel to start. I wanted to know if I could take out the spokes and just re-order them.

Thanks guys for the help.

Look here. I already built such wheels, but I didn't "weave" the spokes like in this manual. I just let the outer (from the outside of the flange) spokes run outside and the inner spokes run inside. Works fine.
