A friend of mine has a lot of old dirt bikes, so I hope to find another pair like those.

I'd like to find a way to bend old bars back into shape with common garage tools, but it's much easier to find another pair. These will probably go on the wall as decoration.

se super big honkin cruiser bars are kind of similar. I have them on one of my worksman. May work for you if you can't find any dirt bike bars.

I do have a progress report and should have another pair of bars tomorrow - but I have to admit that the bent bars are growing on me. It could become the Crooked Clunxer.

This week I stripped the few parts off the frame, scraped the stickers off, and cut the tabs off. I still need to grind the welds where the tabs were.

The bike was originally green, then yellow, then red, and then it was accented with black. What a life it's lead! Hoping to have it sandblasted in the next week.

I'm looking forward to the painting and hope to have more to share soon.
