Holy hard enough getting a regular motor bike axle in that fork .
Lucky she didn't snap on you .
looking good so far

Bike taking form today with much of the stuff done that was never done; pack bearings, de-burr rear sprocket, figure out adjustment for fender mounts and spacer, shorten the chain, and break the pivots free on the NOS drop stand. Almost a rider. Big lists yet to cross off.

Here is a little time lapse as promised of the assembly. Wrestled with the typical situations encountered with a 90+ year old bike, but it rides beautifully. I have to say the 28" Blunt 35 wheels with the Nexus 3 and the Sturmey Archer XL-FD drum hubs give an incredible ride. The larger diameter kicks out more spun weight (still very light), more centrifugal force that you can feel when riding or coasting. Been riding balloon tire bikes for 40 years but nothing like the feel of these wheels. This bike really, really hauls with minimal effort. I already have 12 miles on her and they are smooth.

The LED lighting was a leap of faith but all the leg-work paid off, lights provide ample brightness to see and be seen.

RRBO15 Time Lapse - Itzarat

Here are a couple of shots made just before hooking up brake and shifter cables and final adjustments - which are now complete. I will start a "finished" thread shortly. Barely made it!

Here are some shots of the wiring getting buttoned up, which took many hours and some head-scratching to finish. I went the extra mile and used "period" cloth-wrapped wire, it was bulky compared to the wire that it normally required, but worth the effort.

Dude!! That video is ultra cool! Really well done. Seeing our builds actually out on a ride is the icing on the cake for me. Your locale in socal is primo for the background to a cool bike for sure.

I hope everybody watches this one......the vibe is so relaxing, and cooool...

Kate and I have his and hers 1899 roadsters. The Amazon and the Argonaut, I still haven't put mine back together. Your bike is "the one" in here i would add another hook in the house as a keeper is all i am saying

Thanks OddJob! Yes it it nice to see all of these builds finished and rolling in their natural habitat. I have enjoyed seeing all who made them. It is work trying to see everyone's work on here! There is definitely a cool vibe here in downtown Huntington Beach, and cruising the boardwalk between Newport and Seal Beach is always rewarding.

So that pair of his and hers TOC roadsters is a pretty sight! Wow! Classy. I look forward to seeing the Argonaut peddling about sometime.
If you have another hook in the house maybe someday it can be yours, as I have lots of plans to build but limited hooks of my own! I need to become comfortable with letting bikes go in the future, and I am willing to learn.

The insulation on the wires is perfect.
It is cloth covered wire coming out of the front light, and slightly smaller 22ga steel braided wire used for wiring the old vacuum tube Fender guitar amps. Both wire is modern but made like period wiring used to be.
