Was at a customers house and casually mentioned I collect old bicycles, the homeowner told me he was offered an old Iver Johnson the day before and passed on it, Lucky me it was still available. 28" wood clad wheels, this beauty will clean up nice.
My problem with purchasing this one is I am in the process of buying another Iver Johnson, a 1920's men's, What are the chances of finding 2 of these rare beauty's just 10 miles apart in 1 weeks time.

Iver Johnson made inexpensive guns, but really nicely engineered and built bikes. They also made motorcycles from 1907 to 1915. The company was located in Fitchburg Mass. The mans bike has a block chain which would make it quite old. I have a Racycle with a block chain (roller was optional) and it was built in 1910.
Depending on price I would buy the mans bike. The parts alone are worth quite a bit.

Wow, those are beautiful Rick! Both are exceptional for their age... I would definitely buy that men's bike if you like it. It really is in amazing shape considering it's nearly a century old- the tires look pristine, as does the paint, wheels, chain, everything just looks amazing for the age. I don't think it is very easy to come across such a a complete, clean bicycle of that period, and it's an Iver to boot! :) I would think that as Dave said the parts have to be worth the asking price or very close to it, and that if you ever wanted your money back out of it, that would be pretty easy to do. It's probably one of those chances that won't come back around again too often. Awesome score on the ladies bike, best of luck with the men's, both will look amazing with a careful cleaning.

how much are they wanting for the mens? feel free to pm me if you dont want to post it here...
the reason im asking is it appears the frames been repainted at some time and it looks like the top tube is bent(im sure thats what you were thinking also since you took 2 shots of the spot)........
but its got some nice parts that are harder to come by.......
nice score(s)
