Anyone know what kind of bottom bracket will work for this JCHIGGINS chainwheel setup and my JCHIGGINS(believe its a 1959 Jet-Flo) so I can finally ride my klunker/cruiser. It took profile bearings before when I had it setup for BMX and the spidle says Puch 58. If not ill probably just modify a bmx setup so I can ride. Ive heard of Thompson bottom brackets. If any knows where to get the right one thatd be great. 20160731_120118.jpg 20160731_120108.jpg 20160731_120011.jpg 20160731_120045.jpg Thank you.

Does it take 40mm bottom bracket cups? If so it takes a Thompson bottom bracket. Does your crank spindle have an adjustable outside race and lock nut on one side?

Yes to the 40mm cups. Ill have to take a look at the spindle tommorow but I found a thompson bb on ebay that should work and comes with a spi dle anyways. I just read online that thompson bb are supposedly hard to find so I think I pysched myself out a little.

I dont think these models had the JC Higgins script sprockets and as far as I can tell most of them were sold in 1956.
True, those were used on the 3 speed touring bikes. The '56 cruiser imports did have a 3 piece crank, but with a more typical chain ring. -Adam
