I'm not sure I'm remembering murray numbers right, but I think it's 1965.

Wasn't 1963 the last year for the JCHiggins branding? Anyway, it's got be right in that time frame.

JC Higgins brand became Sears brand in 63. I remember MOD 502 is on most of the later Murrays built for Sears. The next numbers are the model number of the bike. The bike can be ID'ed by the model number from the Sears catalog. The large number below that is the sequence number. I wish the model numbers were readily available.
