Picked this up free today. Don't know a thing about it. I'm not a road bike guy, especially when it's a girls bike. Brand name is Takara. It appears to have been an internal 3 speed at one time. Shifter is gone & cable is gone as well. Is it worth anything? I am assuming it is a 70's or 80's bike.

Any input is appreciated! :?: :?:

If you put the shifter back on and clean it up to look very nice you could proberly get 150$ for it, Here you can anyway,in most citys they go for that, though I repack the bearings and stuff and sell em for that or less

Nice find, free is great - I have the same bike in medium green I posted in fresh finds a couple weeks back, paid 15.00 for mine and thrilled at that price.

cool.

Sure you don't want another one???? It's not old enough for me, BTW any what approx. year it might be? :?:

A Takara! Holy Bejeebus! Takara is the company that makes Transformers! That bike is worth a pretty sum.... er wait ... did I say that? That bike is worthless, you should donate it to me j/k.

But yes that is quite valuable. Do to it's rarity (Takara sold it's bike division to another little know company called Shimano) in that condition is a solid 400 beans man.

To a 30+ year Transformer collector, that thing is worth a whole lot more. I'd slap some Autobot logos on it!
