im not too rehearsed in Elgins so there may be alot of wrong parts on this bike. I did find a site with one close (and probably more correct)and even that guy questions if the bike was a hawthorne instead ?!? If i do anything with this one im sure it wont be a spot on restoration anyway.

I re-did a Schwinn Hollywood just like the one in the background for my wife, it's one of her favorites!

Even I would be tickled pink to come across a crusty old bike like that. around here anything with fat ballooners is very hard to find because they whernt really made here. this be thin tire land.

Yes, mine is a Monark built Spiegel Airman - that's why the funny badge. I have another one from the 50s with the single spring springer fork.
