Just A Monark ~UPDATE~ 9-26-2011

I have been killing time.... instead of working on Build Off bike...... I am Waiting for Payday. :roll:
Thought I would work on this.what it looked like when I picked it up from XC204 :wink:

soon after with dirty white walls

Head Shroud cleaned up well

bad pic of original paint?

I have a idea for the fenders but for now going fender less
The white seat is not going to work,I have more to try, I know what I am doing for bars,
when I look at the pics I think maybe the white walls look better..... going to swap and see how they look :wink:

Getting ready for saturday....

I like the look of the Monark chainring but the girl one was just to small. To low of a gear
think I topped out at 12mph :roll: too much spinning
I know it's wrong but the biggest one I have is a Schwinn :shock: will have to do for now

I did get to use the cool dog leg crank I got from Walker a few months ago

I Borrowed the seat from my Build Off 4 Monark

I think it looks cool on that XC204 seatpost :wink:

I think it's ready for Saturday's ride :mrgreen: If I have time I will put some lights on.

Just For Fun Update

First off me and my BIG Butt bent my cool seat post over the summer :?

Note to self......use sold steel for the whole seat posts :roll:

Could not help myself, had this pair of Fat Franks had to use them

Say what you want to about Fat Franks, Not cheap, Logo and Reflective line not cool,
BUT MAN ARE THEY NICE TIRES!!!
So Smooth,Fast, They just roll for EVER!

Things to do.......

Someone spent some time with a rattle can on the bike....they painted everything, rims, chain-ring,tires,Etc.
good news is looks like they did not use primer......

Going to try and remove rattle can paint. and see how the factory Sea Foam looks
After the paint stripping I have a fender idea to try :wink:

What! you didn't trust the rolled sheet metal fork? The all whites look awsome with that combo. The light down low is a cool touch.

:shock: I think the stock fork and my 200lbs would be bad news :roll:
I love the light ...had it on the stem under the bars...Thought it blocked the head badge and cool shroud to much..like it low

I live in Chicago, I love to ride down the Lake Michigan bike path has much as possible :wink:

I completely agree about the seat (mile high is not cool) I am six feet tall easier to cummute with seat so high
I think a quick release seat post bolt would work, high for riding slammed for parking/display :roll:
