JUST PICKED UP 2 JUNKERS!

Turns out an old mechanic who worked next door to me for years also had 2 old bikes stored on the side of his house for a good 30 years. While I was helping him move his tools back to his house, i spotted them. I even managed to load them up in my truck the same day!
I don't know a whole lot about them yet and neither did he. I got one JC Higgins Lightweight 3 speed appears to be all complete and I also got an old Huffy 'Good Vibrations' cruiser. I'm not sure of the year. If anyone can give me any more information on either of these bikes, that would be a big help! Thank you!

I bet that Higgens was made by puch. Puch had a pretty good relationship with sears back then... selling bikes, mopeds and smaller motorcycles in their stores. If it has a sturmey archer hub you can date it that way. Search my old posts for a pic showing the date code location.

The Higgins has to be before 1963, when the Sears replaced it with their own name. I've got the same bike, but it's branded Sears and it's a 63. The rear hub shell on mine has the year in 2 digits, right after the word SPEED, I'm not sure if the Higgins hub shell has it also. The 3 speed hub might be the same except for the brand name.

Thanks for the help. After doing some research i found a Higgins that looked almost identical to mine but all restored and he claimed it to be a '61. That's what i was going off of. After 30 minutes of cleaning that hub i found the name JC HIGGINS with a number beneath it reading 50320, and on the otherside it read 3 SPEED with no following numbers.
