Came across this sweet ride and can't find anything on the internet about it. Anyone have any ideas on history/value?

Hmm...aside from the cranks I don't see many similarities

It's got the same squared fenders and fork crown chrome cap.

Love the orange color and Art Deco chain guard on the Kent bike. However, what is the purpose of the two tubes extending out the back?

1. Nozzles for a rocket-assisted takeoff (RATO) system?
2. Wheelie tip over protectors?
3. Handles for an assistant to hold the rear wheel off the ground while the rider gets it up to speed for drag racing.

I've only seen a few Kent bikes over the years, and they were all kid bikes.

Vintage Kent (imported) cruiser...

...they had a full range of bikes bitd, just not that great and all imported I believe. They make some bikes in South Carolina now...department store bikes.

Sold it to some muscle bike museum in Mass! Will hopefully get a better life than where I found it...
