I picked up this cool KHS a few days ago. It’s a neat little bike. Everything works well, just needs tires and some odds and ends. I’m planning to replace the very dry rotted tires and put drop bars on it. It will be my foul weather gravel bike. Also a bike I can take places where I wouldn’t want to take a bike I’d hate to get stolen.

What caught my interest with this one is the softail frame. It’s got an elastomer at the top of the seat stays. I don’t know how affective it is but it does work. Anyone have any experience with these? It’s decent quality, built with Reynolds 520 butted tubing. It’s got a sticker from a SoCal touring company so it was a rental in a previous life. Overall it’s in great shape, rides great and was really cheap so I’m happy.

Reynolds is always a good thing. Steel suspension frames are pretty rare, aluminum was in vogue when the style really took off. This should make a great one for all day grinds
