Thanks! The guy that sold me the Giant and all of the bike parts recognized me from both BEER RUN and FUGSLEY. He gave me a deal, because he said he knew that something cool would come out of the parts.

I also picked up these cool leather cases and themos.
The inside of the themos is trashed, but I love the graphics on it and think I can make a bike tank out of it. Maybe for a Capt America bike.

Received these from oz1972. Couple of cool speedos and a twn tube 5 speed shifter.
(Shifter modified and used on Flexy)
(Speedo modified to "11" and used on Flexy)

Also found this Electra seat. I figure I will have to work up a color that will work on a ladies bike flip.

That should be an easy one in your neck of the woods. I'd be lucky to get $40 for it here, not because it's not a great bike, but because if it comes to spending $40 on a used (eww, yuck, used) bike or putting $100 on a credit card for a shiny new Walmart bike, the Walmart bike wins, and they pay for it for years and years to come.

NOS Shimano 333 Tall Stick Shifters with overload tubes and chrome shfiter covers.

Does anyone know the purpose of the overload tubes??

I think that the overload tube is there to protect the cable. If you don't have one, at least on one of these stick shifters, I think it is possible to stress the cable out when you really pull the stick back. If you shifted and hit the high limit on the derailleur, and kept pushing the stick anyway, the overload tube lets you go a little further without stretching/stressing the cable. At least I think so. Hopefully somebody can deny or verify that.

I came across this yard saleing last Saturday. It is a 1974 Honda 550 Four motorcycle with some cool bars and seat. It looks to be in decent shape. It has been sitting in the garage for over 20 years since there son died. I haven't bought it yet, but the price is right and I think I might get it and start parting it out. It looks like I can make almost as much parting it out as I could if it was restored.

Some of you may have seen me post my idea about making a sissy bar out of snow skis. Well you don't run across snow skis much in Savannah, so I snagged these for $2 Saturday. I post the sissy bar mockups on the Bike Talk forum soon. Sold the bindings on ebay for $11 and I should get about $15 for the poles when I post them.

I also picked up this WW Mongoose BMX for parts for a $5. I mainly got it for the drink holder.
(SOLD the wheels for $20)
(Used teh pedals on my Cannibal)

I bought a couple of 2002 Dahon folders to flip. These sell good on ebay and I got them at a bargain price. One could use a paint job. Don't know if I rat out a Dahon and have it look good. Maybe some flat black or flat gray.
