I just saw an ad for this bike.

At Walmart, says it's a hand built frame.

$299.

Too funny!
I said months ago that with all the attention that this style of bike has been getting,on places like RRB and social media, the Big Boxes would be selling a ‘strandie’ style bike by year’s end.

That frame looks familiar

When I used to travel more for my employer, I used to visit Walmart stores that are legal in many cities. I believe that they had a system, where if an item was tagged with a green price sticker, that was the lowest clearance price just to get it off the shelf.
Others said it was when the price ended in a 3 or 4, as in $1.04 (?).

So maybe just wait until the green $79.83 price comes up.

300+ for "hi-tensile" one speed. Used to be able to get a chromoly frame "cruiser" for that price and stick a bmx bar on it. Has it really been that long? Crap I'm getting old.

"GET OFF MY LAWN!!"

Well, there is an import tax/tariff now on bikes and parts too.
Good! Maybe we'll get more American companies to produce bikes. Quality bikes. Sure, that's laughable but a possibility.
