Before everyone gets on me too hard about not finishing decoed out, I am starting back on it this weekend to be able to ride it at the Woodward dream cruise in Detroit on the 17th.
This bike I have been wanting to build for 11 years now and its finally time. I plan on taking this and the other two bikes I have built, or are currently building to Detroit. Two of my friends are going with me so I was a bike short for them to have something cool to ride so a good excuse to get started. I started with 1 1/2 tube for the main bars and 3/4 for the rear triangle. The reason for the name is that for the triple trees I wanted to make them look like brass knuckles so on to progress.
Started with a pile of tubing and a plan a week ago.
Preliminary frame welding.
Wheel fitment for downtube.
Forks roughed out. Knuckles to be final trimmed when torn down for paint.
Temp seat installed and ready for test ride.
My friend who will be riding it in Detroit giving it a go.
Tonight's progress was getting the seat back and "passenger" seat roughed in.
Tomorrow I will be straightening the rear triangles and hopefully finishing the seat. Then Its tear down and paint. When that's done its back to decoed out. More to come tomorrow.
