In the past few years I've been through a lot of Bendix hubs, but this was a first for me. I don't think they are super rare but just wondering how many others knew there was a knurled version of these hubs ?

Just think how much machining they saved by switching to the 3 tab style. Your hub is "splined", not knurled. Gary

I agree with you a 100% on the terminology Gary, Bendix called it "knurled" so i did too in this instance but my first thought was " hey it's splined", it's like when mom says antigoglin and I think to my myself, no ... it's catawampus.

Its also easier to grab a small screwdriver or pick to pry the more common snap ring off than to dig through the drawers for the pliers for this style, but I'm sure cost was the pusher on that change as well !
